Bunt - Push bunt

Description:

A push bunt is performed just as a bunt for a hit.  The batter will not square until after the pitcher releases the ball.  The goal is to "push" the ball towards the 2nd baseman, getting the ball past the pitcher but having it stop at about the grass line of the infield.  Typically done when the 2B is either playing really deep or spending time trying to hold the runner near 2B.
